At lunch today Steve O. (Science Teacher at work) and I were talking about the gang mentality at work and how some of our students are born into it and how sometimes it seems like no matter how hard you try to help them out of it, they don't want to.

It's not cool to do well in school, it's not cool to care about anything. While we were talking about it, it reminded me of a quote that we dealt with in Theology back in collge. I just for the life of me can't remember who said it......

God does not help those who do not help themself

I'm just hoping that this student understands that we can help him if it's something he wants.
