Goals

I have started creating more immediate goals for myself lately. I've decided to post them so that I can always refer back to them in the times I have difficulty adhering to them & for others to give me feedback on what they think...
1. Return to reading:
I love reading but for the longest time I haven't read a single novel. Since I have given myself this goal I have started THE DARK TOWER SERIES by Stephen King. So far I have finished the first book and I'm about a quarter of the way through the second. My new goal is to read 2 books a week. I need to keep my brain active.

2. Return to exercise:
Back to running and going to the gym for me. I'm going to be running with a goal of 3 times a week after I get settled into my new place. Running is a way for me to do the opposite of reading and shut my brain off and just focus on the task at hand; putting one foot in front of the other.

3. Eat healthier:
I'm going to start watching not so much what I eat as the quantity of what I eat. At my new place, I'll have fridge space so I'll be able to store lunch meats, jelly, etc. As for beverages, that's not going to change and if anyone thinks they can convince me otherwise, they can kiss my fucking ass.

4. Brewery:
We need to get off the ground and it's frustrating that there are obstacles right now that are really outside of our control. This weekend we'll get our web presence up and I will design our business cards.

5. Improve finances:
I have already started this but I need to finish taking care of eliminating debt. While eliminating debt I do acknowledge that there are things I will want and I will continue to set benchmarks & goals for me to meet in order to reward myself.

6. No "I" in "team"...
However there is an "M" and an "E". The most important person in my life is me and I'm making sure that I do the things I need to do for myself while not neglecting my responsibilities. Being single makes this easier and having minimal responsibility other than teaching at the school is another great way for me to work on this.

7. In all seriousness:
Don't take things too seriously unless it is life or death.

These are my 7 foci that I am directing my efforts on. While they may not seem interconnected, they all are tied to my physical & emotional health. These things are to assist me in growing further in the directions that I know I want to go. For the past few months, I have known what I want to do but haven't actually set a game plan of how to strive for those goals. Now the game plan is set and I'm going to be working on them to build a better Ryan Gil de Montes; taking those base "metals" that have made me who I am, forged into a stronger version and honed to a razor's edge that has the strength to slice through diamond and the precision to split a human hair.

Website...

IEBREW "should" be up sometime this weekend for the brewery website. Some of the fucking names we wanted were taken, but this is something short, simple, easy to understand, & available for us so we have it now. This weekend I'm also planning our growler bottle design & the tap handles.

New Shades

Both pairs of sunglasses I have are over 5 years old so I felt it was time to upgrade.

Yes, it's another pair of Oakley sunglasses; these are called GASCAN.
