Hookah Swipers

Some damn asshole stole the hookah of mine that was sitting out on the balcony. Sure it has been relegated to being an ash tray for the last year or so but it's the principle of it being swiped. Looks like the thefts happening at other apartment complexes nearby has now spread to ours.

Random Meeting

Today I went to get lunch at the University Village. While I was there I ran into some old friends from high school; including Holly Snider and Brian Kong. We ate lunch, chatted and had a good time. I'm supposed to start painting today, but I'm still waiting for Liz to give me a call back.

New Intel Macintoshes

Ok, I'll admit I can get the computer purchase bug (those of you who really know me know how true this is). I'm sticking to my original plan of not buying a new laptop until at least 2007. While the Intel MacBook Pro seems pretty cool, I have issues. First it only has one Firewire 400 port. Second, it has a funny hole in the front to receive IR reception. Thirdly, my G4 is still covered by Apple Care and runs NATIVE all of my software. Until more software is Intel hardware based I have no need to run software on an intel based Macintosh. By then all the issues that will spring up in these Rev A boxes will be resolved, faster processors, hopefully lower price, Dual layer DVD burners, and the ability to control the computer by thought.... Hey, it could happen. Crap, it's past my bedtime.

Funny Quote

From Slashdot (regarding Dell maybe using AMD):
Intel based mac.
AMD based dell.
IBM based Xbox.

Whats next? ASP.net based Slashdhot?

Hell is truly freezing...

Marriages.....

Well, the theme for the last few days has been marriage; don't worry, it's not mine. My cousin is getting married in Florida on my birthday. My good friend Sydney is getting married in 2007, just told me the news yesterday. It's strange getting older and seeing everyone else tying the knot and having children. Maybe marriage is going to be in the cards for me someday.

2006 Is Here!

Well, I spent the evening with everyone at Lisa & Bobby's place. It's funny how everyone has a hard time staying up until midnight now. I guess it's just something to show how old we're all getting. I go back to work on Tuesday. This will be a little bit difficult to readjust to. Staying up late, sleeping in until I feel like getting up morphing into my old standard schedule. I am however looking forward to getting back into the groove of things for this last month before having February off.
