The Day I Die

I have to wonder if anyone will cry
On the day I die
Neverending slumber,
Ending the blunder;

Every eye will remain dry
They will all know I gave it a try
If they remember at all
How I was before the fall.

The turbulence in the air will float me away
I will have no need or reason to stay;

This solves the problems of yesterday
Nobody, yet nobody will remember anyway.

Energy is all that fills me,
The world does nothing to thrill me.
The remainder of what I am
Is rebuilt from what I was

I search for the truth and that is just because
Because nothing is sad or sweet
Until I am complete
Sitting under my own roof.
Tracy is coming!

Tracy will be here tomorrow with my stuff. It should be a good time. Progress is happening at work with the students.
